Ladies Only Week course
Overview
Sunsail’s Ladies Only Weeks are becoming ever more popular. These weeks are suited to women of all ages who are interested in sailing, whether or not you have any previous experience. Some of our women-only groups are starting from scratch, while others are seeking to develop existing skills. Sign up on your own or with a group of friends.
Over the duration of the course, you can achieve either the RYA Competent Crew or Day Skipper qualifications, and may decide to progress your skills on subsequent courses.
The Ladies Only Weeks are great fun and present an opportunity to spend a week in the fresh air with a bunch of friends, whether old or new. Skippers can be either male or female.

The Sunsail Ladies Only Week courses provide the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Dee Caffari, Ellen MacArthur and Shirley Robertson by gaining your RYA Competent Crew and/or Day Skipper qualifications.
The Ladies Only Weeks are extremely popular and allow you to complete your qualifications over five days in the company of other women. With the number of female students taking Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses increasing every year, Sunsail Ladies Only Week courses offer a chance to meet new friends or take time out with a group of your own friends and enjoy a whole boat to yourselves.
Gaining an RYA Day Skipper qualification allows you to see the world’s most beautiful destinations by boat. Many of our RYA instructors and skippers around the world are women who have successfully sailed their way up through the RYA syllabus. Some have sailed from childhood, and others started from scratch as adults on an RYA course.
