Marina Agana

Our base is situated at Marina Agana in Marina village, just a short taxi ride from the ancient coastal cities of Trogir and Split. Marina is a peaceful Croatian fishing village made up of cosy, terracotta roofed houses built from bright white stone. It’s an impossibly picturesque start to your Croatian flotilla holiday, and ideally situated to reach the coastal and island highlights of Dalmatia. Spend your first day exploring Split (a 40-minute taxi ride away) or kick back with a pivo (beer) in one of Marina’s waterside bars.

Marina Agana to Rogoznica

Sail west out of Marina Agana and follow the contours of the alluring Dalmatian Coast. Before long, the narrow bay and spacious marina of Rogoznica will open up before you. Moor in the sheltered harbour and stroll along the town’s long promenade, or kick back with a refreshing drink in a waterside bar.

Zlarin

The flotilla comes together once more in the marina at Zlarin Island, located at the mouth of the Krka River. Zlarin is famous for its red coral jewellery and is entirely pedestrianised for a true olde-worlde feel. Enjoy the sensation of travelling back in time on unspoilt Zlarin.

One of the highlights of the Vis flotilla holiday, day three sees you sail up the Krka River towards Skradin and the Krka Waterfalls National Park. Soak up the scenery as you guide your yacht from Rogoznica along the coast and into the mouth of the Krka River, passing the picturesque town of Šibenik along the way. Skradin is the gateway to the Krka National Park, so purchase a national park ticket and catch a boat further upriver to view the park’s famous waterfalls. Make sure you go as far as Skradinski Buk—arguably the most beautiful cascade in Krka.

Your first free sailing day couldn’t come at a more perfect time. Choose to spend two or even three nights in the spectacular Krka Waterfalls National Park, kayaking the enchanting Krka River, hiking the forest trails or taking boat trips to the park’s countless waterfalls and lakes.
Komiža to Vis Town, Vis

Your next port of call is Vis’ capital, Vis Town. Sail around the northern coast of the island for a shorter journey or head south via Rukavac Town and Ravnik Island. Moor in the peaceful, sheltered harbour of Vis Town for a welcome rest stop after your long journey. Treat yourself to a fine Dalmatian meal and some local wines or arrange a wine tasting tour into the island’s interior when you arrive.

Use your final free sailing day to enjoy the freedom of the Adriatic. Explore the Central Dalmatian Islands of Hvar, Brač, Solta and Korčula, visiting some of the Croatian highlights that haven’t made it into the Vis flotilla itinerary. The nearby island of Sčedro and bustling Hvar Town are in easy reach of Milna, but if you can’t decide where to go then your lead crew can provide expert recommendations and the latest weather reports.

The Krka Waterfalls National Park may be one of the most beautiful spots in Croatia, but there’s even more to explore in the region. Sail south from the Krka River to discover the stunning Kornati Islands National Park, with its spectacular cliffs, deserted beaches and rare wildlife.
Vis Town to Milna, Hvar

Sail northeast across the endless blue of the Adriatic towards distant Hvar Island. You’ll pass the Pakleni Islands where you can stop for a scenic lunch break before continuing east to sheltered Milna. Here you can snorkel some of the clearest waters in Croatia, and enjoy hearty Dalmatian cuisine in friendly local restaurants.

The Vis flotilla reconvenes in the little town of Jelsa, tucked away in a narrow inlet on Hvar’s northern coast. Fall in love with the traditional atmosphere of picturesque Jelsa and tuck into some of the local seafood, said to be among the finest in Dalmatia. Wash it down with some delicious local wine for a truly indulgent evening on shore.

Zlarin to Maslinica, Šolta

Point your bow to the east and sail back along the coast, past Rogoznica and the Drvenik Islands. Keep the Drvenik Islands to your port side as you approach green and lovely Šolta. On Šolta’s western shore you’ll find the small town of Maslinica with its atoll-specked bay. Swim from the town’s beaches and bathing platforms or enjoy a meal in a local konoba with your new flotilla companions.

Free Sailing Day

This is the last free sailing day for this two week flotilla, and the location could not be better. Pribinja or Luka Tiha is just outside of Hvar island and is infamous for parties, filled with nightclubs, and a perfect destination if you would rather just relax and swim. Hvar town on the southwestern end of Hvar island is the infamous place for parties, filled with nightclubs, beach bars and high end restaurants. Vinogradišće bay is one of the most popular bays in Croatia, and it owes its good name to well known restaurants and Laganini beach bar and its cocktails. Ask your lead yacht for more options on this day.
Maslinica to Komiža, Vis

Depart early from Maslinica for an exciting spot of blue water sailing as you strike out for distant Vis. Vis is the most Westerly of the Dalmatian Islands, so hope for a strong wind as you point your bow towards this Adriatic gem. Head for Vis’ western coast, where the historic town of Komiža waits in a broad and sheltered bay. This beautiful, hill-fringed town is home to a unique waterside castle, and is a great spot to try Vis’ famous wine and seafood.

Make the short journey northwest across the Split Channel to our base at Marina. Soak up the culture and atmosphere of the Dalmatian Coast, dining in a waterside konoba in Marina or taking a short taxi ride to Split. If you didn’t get a chance to visit Split on day one, then don’t miss a trip to the Dalmatian capital.
