Join us for a 4-day flotilla over the long Easter weekend that marks the start of the British sailing season. A fantastic and unique way to spend the bank holiday weekend, this mini cruise will see you sail in company and embark on a tour of some of the most famous destinations of the Solent. Guided by your lead flotilla yacht and crew, soak in the beautiful scenery in our impressive new fleet of Sunsail 41.0s – a spacious and luxurious new yacht that is ideal for cruising in comfort and in company.

Portsmouth (Port Solent) to Cowes

Yachts Moored in Port Solent Marina

Arrive at Port Solent Marina the night before to collect your yacht, receive handover from Sunsail base staff and be introduced to the other members of the flotilla party. Following an overnight stay at the marina on board your yacht, the group will set sail in the morning to Cowes Marina. Once you have arrived at your destination it's time to get ready for a G&T party with Ophir Gin, the UK’s number one premium spiced gin brand, on board the lead boat.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk from Cowes Marina. Or, if you prefer to not to venture too far for a bite to eat, The Lifeboat restaurant stands proudly over East Cowes Marina, which is a huge favourite of visiting yachtsmen in the summer, but also a family-friendly home-from-home for locals too.

Southampton

Following the daily yacht briefing held by the lead crew, the party will set sail to the historic port town of Southampton. Home to the SeaCity Museum, with an interactive model of the Titanic, Southampton has hundreds of years of history to discover. For years, this city was best known as a place you pass through on your way to somewhere else (usually on a cruise or via an Isle of Wight ferry). But recent times have seen a wide array of appealing sights, restaurants and things to do.

Ocean Village

Located 0.1 miles from Ocean village, this Medieval house lets you step back in time to the Middle Ages, tucked away within easy walking distance of the busy city centre. Escape from the bustle of the city and take in the history of Southampton's 'old town', built on one of the busiest streets in medieval Southampton.

Southampton to Lymington

Suggested activities

Following an overnight stay on board your yacht, the group will meet for the daily yacht briefing held by the lead crew before setting sail to Lymington. This will be followed by the party heading further up the River where we will meet at a local pub.

Following the daily yacht briefing held by the lead crew, the party will return back to Port Solent Marina where they will arrive with just enough time to sit back, relax and take in the many shops and restaurants located on the marina boardwalk.

Portchester Castle

If you'd like to spend your final day discovering more about local history then Portchester Castle is a must visit. This 3rd century castle, which is one of the most impressive and best-preserved of the Roman 'Saxon Shore' forts, is just a half-hour walk or five-minute drive by car from the marina.
