COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in St. Martin
Welcome to Sunsail's marina in St. Martin!
Please view St. Martin latest travel requirements in response to COVID-19 below. Sunsail will continue to monitor these updates to keep our guests informed of any changes.
We would also advise that you contact your airline for the most up to date information around entry requirements and re-entry to your home country.
While the St. Martin is opening its borders for international travellers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before, and during your stay there.
Before You Go
Entry by plane to St Maarten Dutch side (Juliana airport):
Travelers will no longer require testing to enter Sint Maarten regardless of their vaccination status.
All travelers will no longer be required to fill out the EHAS form prior to boarding their flight.
Saint-Martin French side: No test required. ALL CLEARANCES OUT AND IN ST MARTIN FRENCH SIDE ARE PERFORMED BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE BASE.
Sailing to St Bart: Mandatory vaccination, no compulsory Covid test. Need an authorization from the last port, exit clearance, (even if it is French St Martin), and all the documents (boat papers, insurance, crew list, proof of vaccinations) sent to advance to St Barts Port Authority. We carry out the basic clearance formalities.
Sailing to Dutch St Maarten: No other electronic form is required (if you have never visited another country with the boat before). No Covid test required. Need an authorization from the last port of call (even if it is French St Martin),
You need an authorization from the last port, Release clearance, to return to St Martin on the French side and to return.
Sailing to Anguilla: Anguilla has lifted online check-in, but travelers can still contact a local agent for clearance service and assistance if they wish. The average cost for this service is $150 + customs fees.
I recommend contacting the agent below Gabi Gumbs. She is reliable and very responsive.
Otherwise, you will be required to go through the Road Bay customs office for the formalities. Cost average $120/day for the cruising permit and the marine park.
Visitors vaccinated or not: NO TEST required
