COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in St. Lucia

We would also advise that you contact your airline for the most up to date information around entry requirements and re-entry to your home country.

While the St. Lucia is opening its borders for international travelers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before, and during your stay there.
Before You Go
Fully Vaccinated Travellers:
- Fully vaccinated travellers must provide a valid vaccination record as requested on check in, for boarding and on entry to Saint Lucia.
- Unvaccinated travellers aged 5 years and older must have a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test done within 5 days prior to arrival.
- The test (sample collection) must be administered by, or supervised by a healthcare professional – an unsupervised self swab is not accepted. Check the details of the test carefully with the provider before booking a test
- TESTS/SAMPLES THAT ARE ACCEPTED: Nasopharyngeal sample, oropharyngeal sample, nasal sample, oropharyngeal, anterior nares sample and mid turbinate samples, sample collection performed by a healthcare professional, self-administered sample collection supervised by a healthcare professional.
- TESTS/SAMPLES THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTED: LAMP tests, unsupervised self-administered tests, home kits, saliva samples.
- Passengers arriving without tests or with the wrong type of test will be retested on arrival at their own cost and will be required to remain in quarantine until the result of the test is known.
Test results must include:
- The name, address and telephone number of the lab where the sample was taken
- Your name (please make sure this is correctly recorded and must match the name on your passport/travel document)
- Your date of birth (please make sure this is correctly recorded)
- The date the sample was collected – this must show as the sample collection date: ‘test date’ will not be accepted
- The type of test and the method of testing
- The result of the test
All Travellers:
- Saint Lucia Health Screening Form (required on arrival). The Saint Lucia Health Screening form is available and can be downloaded via www.stlucia.org, and must be completed before disembarking for ease of processing.
- In the event of submission of fraudulent documents, the traveller(s) will be subject to fines and penalties according to the laws of Saint Lucia.
- The Ministry of Health and Wellness reserves the right to random test any traveller to the island regardless of documentation or any other requirements obligation or condition required for entry into Saint Lucia.

During Your Charter
One Way Charters:
- One way charters from St.Lucia to Grenada are now possible. No testing is required when you reach Grenada but a PCR test is needed leaving St Vincent 72 hours prior to entering Carriacou/ Grenada - this can be done in Union Island.
- The yacht must be registered on Sail Clear & the entry to Grenada is via this portal. Clients HAVE to be vaccinated & have a negative PCR test result either in electronic format or old fashioned paper copy.
- The port of entry in Carriacou is Tyrol Bay , same place as customs & immigration.
- If a traveller tests positive during their one way from St. Lucia to Grenada, then the base will send a skipper to sail the customers yacht back to St.Lucia, and the customers will be taken to a quarantine hotel from the dock. If the traveller tests positive in Union Island, they will be taken to a quarantine hotel there and the yacht will be returned to St. Lucia by one of the skippers. Customers will be liable for the costs incurred.
- If travellers wish to visit St Vincent and the Grenadines, this form needs to be filled out and submitted to SVG ARRIVALS at [email protected], as well as the vaccination cards, passport copy, PDF of proof of vaccination and PCR test taken no more than 72 hours after test HAS to be sent through. A PCR test will have to be done before leaving for St Vincent from St Lucia. There is a doctor on call to administer the PCR test who can expedite the result the next day, the cost is $150 per person, please book in advance or upon arrival at the base.
Other relevant information:
- If you test positive during your charter, please contact your insurance provider for advice. Please also let the base team know. You will remain on board for the duration of the charter on quarantine, and then at the end of the charter will be taken to a quarantine hotel STAR FISH to complete the rest of your quarantine period at your own expense. Quarantine is 10 days total.
