Owner Use Privileges

Owning a yacht in the Yacht Partnership fleet means you need never cover the same ground twice. You can choose to sail your own yacht or, at no additional cost, use an equivalent model from a base elsewhere in the world. Some of our owners like to return to their own yacht every holiday; others use their benefits to experience Sunsail’s many different cruising grounds each time they sail.
 

Holiday costs

Whether you use your own yacht or an equivalent, your sailing time is hassle free. There are only a few small administration fees and charges for using your own yacht or another yacht. Our normal brochure extras such as provisioning and one-way fees and Collission Damage Waiver will apply. You will, of course, need to cover the costs of travel to your chosen destination.

How often can I use my yacht?

As a Sunsail yacht owner you can use your yacht up to four weeks a year on pre-booked time. Two of these weeks each year can be taken on a Sunsail yacht at one of our overseas bases. You can also utilise your yacht on standby use if it does not have a customer booking, with standby use being defined as being booked within one week of departure. Your yacht or any other Sunsail yacht is not available to you throughout any of our "high" season periods or Easter school holidays. Only one week of your annual use can be taken during other school holiday periods. We work on the simple logic that we both must “make hay while the sun shines”. Unfortunately any unused owner’s use from each year cannot be accrued year to year.
