Our sailing school at Port Solent on the south coast of England, couldn't be more ideally placed for access to one of the world's best sailing grounds - The Solent.

With some of the best sailing conditions and ports of call, all within line-of-sight sailing, the Solent offers the perfect cruising ground and is ideal for beginners taking their first steps as well as experienced yachtsmen looking for their next step.

 Cruising Area

From Port Solent you have easy access to visit the Needles and the Spinnaker Tower or experience the yachting havens of Lymington or Cowes with their busy night life and marinas, or stop in a quiet harbour such as Yarmouth or Beaulieu with their traditional English Pubs for a quiet ale and relaxed atmosphere.  Wherever you sail in the Solent, there is something to see and do at the end.

 Courses

All Sunsail Sailing School courses - including several shore based theory options - are available at Port Solent on a year round basis.

Family courses, teenage and ladies only courses are also available.

Prices start from $655 per person.

 On board accommodation

Shared cabins on board a Sunfast 37 yacht.  Sole occupancy is available on request at an additional charge (please contact our reservations team for further information).  Bedding and towels are not provided at this base.  Marina fees are included in the cost of your course.  Price includes all breakfasts and lunches on board as well as a welcome meal and rum punch on arrival.  One evening meal at sea is also included on courses of 5 days or more.  All meals ashore are at your own expense.

 Sailing Conditions

Tidal range of approximately 4 metres.  Local sea breezes in Summer (June-August).  Waters are protected from the English Channel by the Isle of Wight.
